City Of Stars - La La Land

CITY OF STARS - LA LA LAND

We were captivated by that fantastic trailer and the song performed by Ryan Gosling. After watching it, we found ourselves piecing together fragments of memory, carried away by the melody and the visuals. The song transported us into a vast city, where we felt surrounded by a thousand shining stars. In that moment, it was as if we could see through the pure and innocent intentions they held for one another.

We knew we wanted to capture that feeling and translate it into a visual form—something pure, something innocent. From that inspiration came a frame: a little girl dancing among a thousand stars. As visual creators, we believe this image could go even further. Our love for the film runs deep, and we imagined—what if all these stars, all this love, could tell their own story? Perhaps it could even become the cover of La La Land—a land of music, romance, and love.

Everything started with a song and … a dream.

We envision everything unfolding in silhouette form, set against a dark, dreamy background. The outlines of each object should glow softly, allowing them to stand out with clarity while still blending seamlessly into the atmosphere. Star particles and depth of field must work in harmony—adding richness and dimension—yet remain subtle enough not to distract from the core visuals.

For the color palette, blue, yellow, and green will create the perfect balance: neither too cold nor too warm, but bright enough to shine with vibrancy. Looking closer at the second frame, we imagine a touch of double exposure—like one sky layered within another—adding depth, mystery, and a sense of infinite wonder.
