sPH - IN PERSPECTIVE
Overview
Balance had the opportunity to collaborate with SPH / The Straits Times on In Perspective, a series exploring the aspirations, perspectives and priorities of young Singaporeans. For this event, in partnership with the National Youth Council, we brought the story of Singapore’s youth aspirations to life through visual storytelling — from building meaningful careers and connections to giving back to the community. The episode also highlights the SG Youth Plan, shaped by insights from more than 60,000 young people across Singapore.
HERE ARE SOME STILL FRAMES FROM THE PROJECT
For the GFX phase, we developed the visual language around a mix-and-match, stop-motion-inspired graphic treatment. We combined different graphic elements, textures, typography and layouts to create a playful and dynamic visual rhythm throughout the series.
To add a sense of realism and variety, we also sourced relevant real-life imagery from stock image platforms and integrated these with our own graphic treatments. The combination of real imagery and crafted graphic elements helped create a visual style that feels both editorial and contemporary, while keeping the storytelling engaging and approachable.
